I just installed version 1.7 and when I get to the part to connect my device I do, however after I click okay a screen pops up saying no device detected. I do not have dm open while bbsak is and I also don't have mass storage mode enabled. I am running this on vista and have it running as administrator. Any ideas?

Same issue here - 'Kill Processes' doesn't help. Windows 7. Desktop Manager connects to the device just fine, but BBSAK 1.7 and 1.6.3 won't connect. I have to keep hauling out my XP laptop to use BBSAK. One interesting note - Even the laptop lost the ability to connect until I downgraded DM from 5.0.1 down to 5.0. Tried the same downgrade on the Win7 machine, but no luck.

Success!! After reading through some other threads, I tried turning off User Account Control (UAC), which usually brings up the pop-up asking for permission to change your computer. Turning off UAC requires a reboot, which is a pain, but it DID work. BBSAK connected on the first try. Not a great work-around, but at least it works - if you're willing to sit through a reboot to turn it off, and another reboot to turn it back on when you're done.

Thanks, that seems to have fixed it.
